Conduits

Works by Alli Lemon and George P Perez

Curated by Lauren E Hartog

Opening Friday September 20th 5:30 - 9:30pm

Certain artists choose to return to a singular or select few modes of making. Refining their technique with pointed concentration, their fidelity to a specific material sometimes becomes so integrated into their practices that it is difficult to imagine their work executed via another. Others eschew this approach, using an entire arsenal of materials to appease their curiosity or best portray a particular subject, idea, or even an individual piece.

Conduits is a two-person exhibition featuring recent works by Alli Lemon (she/ they) and George P. Perez (he/him) that investigates these separate approaches to art making. George will present recent textiles, his current medium of choice, and Alli will exhibit graphite drawings, the central medium to her creative practice. Conduits was organized by Lauren E. Hartog, independent curator.

Join us for the opening reception on September 20, 2024 from 5:30 - 9:00 PM in Galapago Space, 923 Galapago Street, Denver CO 80204. Guests are kindly asked to enter through the alley way. Both artists will be in attendance at the opening reception.

Galapago Space is a private residence. After the opening reception, appointments are required. To view the exhibition after the opening reception, contact Kathleen Perniciaro at Galapago Space at galapagospace@gmail.com.
